Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant – Surgical to provide outstanding patient care in our South Loop, Streeterville office(s). Current sedation monitoring certification required!

Schedule (Tuesday - Friday):
- Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30am - 6pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 3pm
Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the doctor in all phases of oral surgery procedures.
- Monitors patients undergoing sedation by tracking vital signs and ensuring their comfort throughout the procedure.
- Efficiently prepare and organize all surgical instruments and materials, ensuring seamless support during procedures (four-handed dentistry techniques)
- Deliver a 10-star patient experience while contributing positively to an engaging corporate culture
- Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for surgical treatment
- Sterilize & disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
- Instruct patients on pre-operative preparations and assist the oral surgeon in delivering post-operative care instructions specific to their dental surgery.
- Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
- Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.
- Monitor daily supplies for restocking.
- Follows infection control protocol by preparing and sterilizing instruments, equipment, and all clinical settings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Required: experience working as a Surgical Assistant or as a Dental Assistant with hands-on involvement in surgical procedures.
- Required: active sedation monitoring certification.
- Required: experience working with dental implant systems.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service & written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
- Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
